Go, Mighty Bulldogs

Georgia is #1 in the College Playoff Rankings right now. I've never seen them play so well as they're doing this year.

Now for a rendition of the Georgia Bulldogs' fight song, "Glory, Glory to old Georgia."

Yes, I know that the tune has been used before.

That the University of Georgia would use the tune of the Battle Hymn of the Republic would indicate to me that many have gotten over the Civil War. I once attended an in-laws' family reunion on the bank of the Connecticut River in New Hampshire. Nearly 100 were in attendance. They even had a family reunion song. The tune for the family reunion song was "Marching Through Georgia." I said to myself, that is a family from the North. As my mother was from the South and my father was from the North, I was exposed to both sides of the conflict.

Georgia is also a young team and is likely to improve slightly each game. (Notre Dame, in contrast, is mostly seniors and likely at its peak.)

Love a team with a great running game. It's really hard to beat. Amazing that the two backs have, combined, outrushed the great Herschel Walker. It's because of him I have admiration for Georgia (so long as they aren't up against UCLA).
