Schlichter: I Am a Victim of Your Hateful Hate Crimes, You Hate Criminals

I've often thought that the right needs to turn the left's rhetoric against lefties, and Schlichter takes a good swing at it. He begins:

As a person of absolutely no color who embodies an intersectional reality that includes my utter lack of genderfluidity and my unemployment-questioning, differently-veteraned, and non-pagan experiences, I am totally oppressed by progressivism’s hegemonic power structure. I am also the victim of a systemic system of hostile paradigms that denies my truth regarding my phallo-possessory identity.

Now, some may consider this a form of sarcastic reductio ad absurdum. I, however, see it as a new paradigm of discourse when talking to those on the left who have already reduced themselves to absurdity. When in Absurdistan, do as the Absurdis do, right?

Will lefties respond by calling Schlicter's passage gobbledygook?

It's also a variant of Alinsky's 4th Rule.

Hear, hear.

Give it back to them. In, umm, spades.

I'm not sure it can be done effectively as an act.

Don't look now, but the kiddies have this one down to a science.

Remember when Hillary picked a fight with a green cartoon frog -- and lost?

Oh, and what about that "basket of deplorables" remark? The kiddies all became deplorables.

When the absurd charges about the Russians influencing the vote were made, the kiddies celebrated setting up their website to look like Russia, they added Russian flairs to their names, and they ran their comments through on-line translators to post in Russian. They are still making jokes about being Russian bots.

And that insult that Trump supporters are all "F**king white men?" Well now, all Trump supporters are declared "F**king white men," specifically including the women, gays, hispanics, blacks, chinese, indians (both types) and trans people. Also, a nice variation is evolving, to the "F**king" part of the epithet -- the young men especially are starting to crow about new additions to their families, or their goals to marry and have children.

The big joke this week is that 4Chan /pol/ ("politically incorrect") explicitly discussed trolling the media to get them to think that the hand symbol for "A-OK" is racist. They succeeded, and BuzzFeed tattled on them, to their endless delight.

Next stop, a new "nazi" symbol.

AVI, yes. Schlichter's shtick is a sarcastic reductio ad absurdum, that's true. And you are right that it won't work in that form, as much as I enjoy it.

But it is leftwing rhetoric that is most of the things they accuse conservatives of: it is hateful, it is racist, it is sexist, it is bigoted. While it is not homophobic, that term is meaningless as they use it. It also is backwards; conservatives are not homophobic; the left actively promotes homosexuality.

I think conservatives should start using those terms explicitly to point out the truth about the left.

The cynic in me wonders whether the Left is, in fact, homophobic, and they're overcompensating with their virulent pro-homosexuality arguments.

Awesome. I'm stealing this, Thomas.
