Poker Card Shootout

I've hit upon a new thing, inspired by the local rifle team, of setting up a poker card for my first set of practice shots. Not my last, at the end of the session. Not a set after I've warmed up and gotten into it. The very first six out of the very first cylinder, because that's how you're going to shoot -- at best -- in the field.

These were at forty feet.

In the Marine Corps, that's what we call a nice little group.

Kind of you to say. I think the virtue of the exercise is in reinforcing the lesson -- 'aim small, miss small.' If you're aiming at Jack's chest, you're aiming pretty small -- that's a man sized target only at a lot more than 40 feet.

Nice, especially at that range.
